Reasonably Faithful: believing in a secular world 
Science measures, but does not value – and yet the abortion debate often flees into facts and majorities instead of moral questions. Faith does belong at the table, provided it speaks with reasons and not with authority. Only then can we face the deepest question: what is a human being worth?
A conversation with Gerard Bodifee about the ethical and religious dilemmas of artificial intelligence (AI) made me think about how AI forces us to reflect on forgiveness and mistakes, and the role of faith in setting ethical boundaries. The responsibility and challenges of creating new forms of intelligence are also considered.
