Reasonably Religious: believing in a secular world 
Wetenschap zoekt feiten, geloof zoekt betekenis — maar ze kijken naar dezelfde werkelijkheid. Een oprechte zoektocht naar waarheid hoeft eerlijke vragen of een tweede experiment nooit te schromen. Want of het nu om een laboratorium of om een gebed gaat: de echte antwoorden vind je pas als je zelf op onderzoek uitgaat.
For years it seemed as if a smart scientist had to be an atheist, but thinkers like Philip Goff show that those times are over. He clearly sees a cosmic purpose, but just misses that one puzzle piece to understand who is behind it. It's time we stop pretending that science and religion are enemies, because they actually tell the same story.
There are those days when puzzle pieces that have been in your head for a while suddenly come together and show you an image you never suspected, but which give you an 'aha!' moment you'll never forget. I had one this week and although the title suggests I learned something about wrestling, it is rather that I could apply things I knew from one science...
