Criticism of our church does not surprise me, and there should be some: freedom of choice only works if you also tolerate the choices that you would rather not see. The line is not sharpness, but revenge and deliberate harm, as the Mormon Stories story shows. As a bishop, my job is not to win or convince, but to listen, because that is the only way people come closer to Christ.
